Als we ons baseren op deze in eigen beheer uitgebrachte mini van het Oost-Vlaamse Out Of Reach,kunnen we niet anders dan concluderen dat hardcore een nieuw leven begonnen is in Belgie.Deze Out Of Reach zal denk ik op gejuich onthaald worden, in het hardcore-minnend Vlaanderen en daar heeft men alle reden toe. De sound van deze jongens zit vol energie, de songs steken enorm goed in elkaar en de productie is voor een in eigen beheer, meer dan voortreffelijk te noemen.Neem daar dan nog de puike strot van zanger Yves en de veelvuldige tempowisselingen en breaks bij en je hebt een cd met een ietwat eigen stijl om trots op te zijn. Hopelijk zet Out Of Reach deze weg voort en kunnen we in de toekomst meer verwachten. Interessant te vermelden is het gastoptreden van Andy (Down For The Cause) en Ludwig (M.C.L) in het nummer “Hardcore lives”, dat ons meteen het beste doet hopen voor de toekomst.

Out Of Reach brengt zijn eerste demo-cd met 6 songs uit. Het is zo’n band die je direct bevalt of je ergert je groen en geel aan de zanger. Ik behoor tot de eerste categorie, omdat zanger Yves een zeer aparte stem heeft die de band juist onderscheidt van veel collega’s binnen dit genre. De hardcore van Out Of Reach zou je kunnen vergelijken met Out For Blood. Een NYHC-sound met wat metalrandjes, maar waarbij de metal niet overheerst. Natuurlijk kan het nog beter en is de productie nog wat mat, maar de demotijd van een band dient juist om de band nog sterker te laten worden. Out Of Reach heeft een goede indruk nagelaten en kan rijpen tot een volwaardige hardcore-act

From Belgium a new band has emerged : Out Of Reach. They play a mix of Madball and Rykers-styled hardcore. Staight in your face hardcore with no gimmicks or whatever. The demo is well produced and the 7 songs are pretty solid. The songs deal about typical hardcore stuff like friendships,backstabbing,stayin true etc.It’s in your face hardcore whit a pretty good singer, which sounds a little like Raised Fist from time to time . check them out!
